クメール・ルージュを題材にしたアンジェリナ・ジョリーの映画First They Killed My Father が11月からシェムリアップで撮影を開始する。撮影地はアンコールワット、バイヨン寺院、シェムリアップの風景、カンボジアの家々や畑、河川や山など多くの場所で、来年の1月まで行われる予定で、90％はシェムリアップでの撮影となる。
またパフォーマーや技術者、俳優等エキストラ人員の数も、2,000～3,000人必要となるよう。道路や地域を閉鎖しての撮影も見込まれる。
